Our Vision – The long term wider change we’re aiming for:
Children and young people achieve better outcomes because their parents can navigate the SEND system more easily. Additionally, those working with such children can access good quality information and improve their ability and communication skills when working with families
Our Mission:
Special Needs Jungle creates easy-to-understand resources, articles and information for parents and carers of children with special needs, disabilities and health conditions to better enable them to navigate England’s special needs system.
We also advocate in national government, charity coalition, research, and other policy spaces, putting forward the views of families that we have gathered through constant monitoring of our social spaces and through meetings. You can read more about how we work on the main about page.
We aim to inform, educate and empower families to self-advocate confidently, so their children get the help they need to live the best life they can.
Ethics & Fact Checking
We endeavour to be fair, honest and transparent. We have no “secret agenda”; we’re simply advocating for disabled children and their families.
We always check facts before we publish and have an excellent record in this regard. If you feel that we have inadvertently got something wrong, get in touch with the details. We will investigate and, in necessary, make a correction.
