For the last few years, we have run a Christmas giveaway offering Amazon vouchers to families in need of a Christmas treat. We’re delighted to say that we are doing the same again this year.
Last year we gave £20 Amazon vouchers to 200 families or individuals. Their stories were humbling, heart-warming, or just incredibly sad at the way their disabled child had missed out on education, or they had found it really hard to find the money for a gift for their children, or a parent who had given everything to make sure their child didn’t go without to be able to buy themselves something nice too. You might not think £20 is much, but to many, it is the difference between a Christmas treat or nothing at all. Depending on how much we raise and how many requests we get, we may be able to increase the individual amount given.
What do I have to do?
There is a donation form at the end of this post to give what you can.
We already have some amazing donations pledged by our friends in specialist SEN legal firms— THANK YOU! We’ll include the names of donors on our giveaway launch post. If you are a company or kind individual who can spare a donation, no matter how small, we are inviting you to make use the form below to help us send Amazon vouchers to as many of our readers who need a little extra cheer this Christmas.
We’ll be launching the giveaway next week, so look out for the post. In the meantime, use the PayPal form below to make a donation so we can help more people.
With the money donated, we purchase Amazon gift vouchers for those selected and deliver them by email before Christmas. Please note, we do this as volunteers, so every penny, minus PayPal fees (you can cover these for us), goes towards the vouchers. If you need an invoice to make a donation, or want to donate directly to our bank to save fees, please email us with the amount you want to donate, and we’ll send one over.
Also this year - help a SENCO!
If you are a company that provides educational resources or products and you would like to donate to a SENCO, please email us with your chosen giveaway - whether it’s a product, a voucher, normally paid-for resources, a free membership to a resource site, or a SEND course they would otherwise have to pay for — anything that a SENCO can use to help their learners with SEND. We will be running this alongside but separate to the voucher for families. If this is something you can do, please drop us a line with what you can offer as a SENCO giveaway and we will get back to you.
