Find SNJ’s Help to respond to the consultation here
What a night, what a webinar… “The best webinar I’ve ever been involved with!” said one particularly notable personage.
1 hour and 30 minutes of questions peppered at an all-female team of crack SEND lawyers, led by an all-female team of SNJ’s directors. 1000 people registered, and watched, asked intelligent questions, chatted, and, we hope, learned much more about the legal implications of the SEND proposals in the Schools White Paper—and how to respond.
Sidelined by an injury requiring urgent care, Steve Broach KC had to bow out, but gamely joined in from the sidelines nevertheless, offering expert legal answers to some of the hundreds of questions that peppered the Q and A section, like a Gatling gun on full tilt.
Stars of the show were our four expert SEND solicitors: Hayley Mason Seager, CEO of SEN Legal, Eleanor Wright, Legal Officer of SOS!SEN, and Kate Cox, Senior Solicitor at IPSEA, who brought with her experience as a parent carer. But who could stand in for Steve? There was only one person who, at this moment, possibly could—Polly Sweeney, Partner at Rook Irwin Sweeney. What a dream team!
We have some clips that will be out during the day, but the main show is below.
